Sustainability vision:

Sustainability is about working with people through local partnerships and focusing on long-term relationships. We take care of our planet as much as possible with as little waste as possible. Our greatest capital is the people who we work closely with: people-to-people is the only right way for us.

Statement of intent:

Through this vision, we want to guarantee the durability of our products and make them accessible to everyone. Through information and consultation, we strive for optimal ease of use and maintenance, which also means that our products can be returned for recycling at the end of their life cycle. Our choice of materials is determined by our EM-checklist.

In order to evaluate and adjust our policy on a regular basis, we use the Sustatool, designed by the Flemish Government and made available through the website of MVO Vlaanderen. The Sustatool is an accessible, practical no-nonsense approach based on a 5-step system of continuous improvement. We have recently implemented this system and are working on concrete actions. By doing so, we hope to contribute to a more sustainable society for now and all future generations.

We use our 40% profit margin to invest in the reuse of leftovers. In this way, we provide more employment at Flagbag. A win-win: more job security at Flagbag on the one hand and more opportunity for talent development by experimenting with new models on the other. On the other hand, our products become more accessible for more people by offering small items at relatively low prices.
